Maxpreps.com is a website that provides in-depth information about High School Sports. This site is owned and operated by MaxPreps, Inc, a CBS company founded in 2002 and headquartered in Cameron Park, California.
The homepage features the latest high school sport headlines, photo slideshows, and interactive rankings, leader boards, and scoreboards. The homepage also features links to articles written by high school sport experts, the ‘Performance Center’ which provides information about training, nutrition, and sports rehabilitation, and a ‘Find Your School’ tool that lets visitors search for school teams by zip code and view stat pages with team information and photos.
The ‘Search’ tab lets visitors search for sports photographs, player information, and school information by player, event name, and photographer. The ‘Sports’ tab lets visitors browse information pages by sport. Sport pages display the latest headlines and team scores, as well as links to videos and photo galleries in that sport category. The ‘States’ tab lets visitors browse sport information pages by state. The ‘Rankings’ tab lets visitors browse school, team, and player rankings by sport. The ‘Stats’ tab displays links to stats pages by sport; these pages contain a variety of stats, such as batting average, that can be sorted by team, player, state, division, and league. The ‘Recruiting’ section displays links to lists of top contenders, top players, a player spotlight, and varsity center videos.
The ‘Coaches’ section is a login screen for coaches. The ‘Training’ section is the same as the ‘Performance Center’ section. The ‘Photos’ section displays a photo gallery that can be sorted by sport and state. The ‘Video’ section displays a list of sports related videos sorted by recently viewed, most viewed, and MaxPrep picks. The ‘More’ tab displays a link to the ‘Fanstore,’ the site’s online store featuring sports apparel, accessories, and sports uniforms for sale. The ‘More’ tab also displays links to current contests, scholarships, internships, widgets, and a tour of champions.
