vh1.com is the official website of the VH1 music channel. The website has a top-level navigation bar with links to the home page, music, shows, movies, news/gossip, photos, videos and the community of the site. The main home page has a scrolling picture box featuring major music, TV or movie stars and current events. The home page also highlights a couple of shows that will be on TV that night and the times they will be on, directly above a medium-sized advertisement. The middle section of the home page lists, from left to right, the top music videos, current events pictures/video (2009 Oscars as of this writing), and the VH1 blog. Other items found on the home page are a full VH1 TV schedule, top show videos, full episodes of the TV shows, celebrity photos, “VH1 recommends” and the capability to search or browse for artists. There are links at the bottom of the site similar to the top of the site along with links to partner sites, terms of use, site map and etceteras. All of the links on the top and bottom of the home page persist throughout the site when you click on any of the links. Finally, there is a link to log in or sign up in the upper left hand corner of the site; signing up is fairly straight forward, as only a name and email address/password are needed.
