Umich.edu is the official home page of the University of Michigan, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The site may be viewed in text-only, or in Spanish. A visitor may choose to view information for prospective students, current students, faculty & staff, or alumni, donors and parents. A list of links is presented by category on the home page with subcategories for narrowing the area of interest. The categories include academics & research, employment, International resources and library & archives.

A search box is available for a web or directory search. The ‘Schools, Colleges, & Departments’ link leads to a list of academic units available at the Ann Arbor campus by category. A series of links relating to news are available. A block named Michigan Focus gives links to campus information such as the president of the university, the University Research Center and other topics of interest.

‘Quick Links’ on the opposite side of the page allows a visitor to get more information on campus housing, course guides, the academic calendar and job postings. The ability to check on applications for graduate and undergraduate students is also available under this heading.

Visitors to this site tend to be college graduates from affluent households with children. Approximately half of the visitors to the site are from the United States.
