Iop.org is the official website of the Institute of Physics, a scientific charity that both promotes the practice and study of physics and acts as the main professional body for physicists in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The website provides information on the organization’s activities, provides resources for physicists, and explains how physicists can join the IOP (in the appropriately titled Join the IOP tab). The Events tab covers every meeting of every kind, from business to academic to educational, that the IOP hosts or is a part of. The Publications section has every magazine or report that the organization has published directly or published for another group/author in PDF form, while the Education tab provides information and resources for teachers and students, including a link to an informational physics site called physics.org, the organization’s efforts in schools and universities, and upcoming educational events. The Activities section has information on different subdivisions of the organization and on local branches, as well as other networking information, and the Careers tab has resources for finding jobs.
