epicurious.com is a website aimed at people who “love to eat” but perhaps more specifically, those who cook and bake. The site is busy with options for navigation on the home page from top-level navigation to navigation down the left hand side and multiple portals throughout the page. The site aggregates recipes from partner sites at the bottom of the front page in addition to the recipes on their site which can be searched on in the middle of the page. There is a community section of the website where you can share recipes, experiences, etc, and it is reachable from the right-hand side of the home page. The site has featured videos and member recipes changing on a regular basis, and content specific to an upcoming big event right in front of your eyes as soon as you launch the page (i.e. Super Bowl Sunday). Joining the website is not as simple as providing an email and password, but it is not much more difficult as you provide physical address and mobile phone number.
