Ecw.com is the official website of Extreme Championship Wrestling, formerly its own professional wrestling promotion that was bought up by WWE, or World Wrestling Entertainment, in 2003 and is now one of their brands. ECW does not actually have its own website; it is simply a subsection of the WWE official website, wwe.com. The ECW subpage’s main offerings fall under two categories. First, the site features archived articles of every major match since ECW was re-launched by WWE in 2006. Second, the site has a list of every championship match, going back to when ECW was an independent brand, with dates, locations, and for four of the matches, video footage. Other features on the website include coverage of WWE NXT, a pseudo-reality show in which famous wrestlers from other WWE brands mentor up-and-coming wrestlers and compete to become the next new hit, and a video timeline of WWC’s shows from the past. The latter requires a subscription, either yearly or monthly, but you can view WWC shows from as far back as 1971. Other parts of the website feature upcoming matches and pay-per-views, information on the various WWE brands and shows, the various wrestlers, including alumni, and a merchandise shop and online ticket booth.
