Discogs.com is a website that is a community built database that specializes in providing the general public of music information. It aims to have the discographies of all labels, all artists, all cross referenced information, and the site is making huge progress towards that. Artists that have profiles on the site are pearl jam, shakira, Stevie wonder, Anne Murray, Teresa Teng, and many more. The popular artists section allows visitors on the site to browse artists and labels and each can be browsed by the letters of the alphabet and there is also a section entitled ‘other’. There is a latest discography additions section that is updated daily as the site tries to reach its goal of discographies of all artists. There is also a section called Latest Music Reviews where users of the site offer their insight on new music, new artists, and recently released music. Sections that headline the site at the top are my discogs, marketplace, browse, and groups. There is also a sign up section where visitors can become members and write their own reviews. There is also a convenient search bar. This site is great for people with careers in music or just admires it.
