cmt.com is the official website of the Country Music Television station. The primary users of this site would be country music fans looking to read about their favorite artists, concert information or what is on the channel that night. The site immediately grabs your attention with a scrolling picture box featuring key artists, shows and other information that the site is promoting; next to the picture are links that you can hover over to display that picture. You can login/register for the site via links at the top of the home page, next to a search box for the entire site. Browsing for artists is also another feature presented to the user prior to reaching the sites’ top-level navigation. Immediately below the scrolling picture in the middle of the page is a separate box with four tabs that the user can select from: music, artists, shows and video. Similar to the scroll box at the top, these links are “hover-over” and point the user to the more detailed articles on the subject.
