This is a retail website for CDs, movies, games, and related accessories. You can create an account by clicking on the “Wish list” icon in the top right corner of the screen, and can proceed to “create new account.” CDUniverse.com will send notification emails to you when your order ships, or for any problems with your order. You can choose to be notified of special sales and deals via email. Unsubscribing instructions are emailed to you right away. You can monitor your account, items in your shopping cart, and “wish list” on the top right of the homepage.

On the home page, you can browse thumbnail album images, or refine your search using the categories along the left-hand side and the top, until you arrive at an item you would like to purchase. The categories include music (alternative, jazz, and so on), music accessories, games, and movies.

You can preorder items that have not gone on sale yet in stores. Once you have selected an item you can go to a page that features more information about it (track listing, if it is a CD, and so on), the price, and shipping time. Below the item are related items, such as paraphernalia like posters, and related recommendations. You can then add it to your shopping cart (the status of which can be checked, at any time, by clicking on the cart icon in the upper right hand corner). Before proceeding to the next screen you must either register for a new account, or sign into your account. At the “Ready to Finalize Order” menu you will verify your shipping information and be issued an order number. Save this number, as you will need it for future correspondence. You can pay by credit card, ECheck, BillMeLater, or PayPal.
