What To Expect is a web site for moms and moms to be. The web site offers support and company in conjunction with the What to Expect books. What to Expect is also an online community of moms and dads who know exactly what one is going through during parenthood. One can meet new friends and share the excitement and anticipation, the miraculous milestones, the surprising symptoms, and the wonderful (and often unexpected) experience of pregnancy and beyond. One can create an membership with What To Expect and can immediately start sharing one’s experiences. Signing up for membership is free. The web site’s content is divided by eight different tabs. The tabs are labeled My WTE, Community, Preconception, Pregnancy, First Year, Toddler, Shopping, and Partners. Under the My WTE tab one is greeted with a log in screen. Here, members of What To Expect can create their custom pages with custom contact. This service is, however, only available to registered members. Under the Community tab one can find message boards, the option to meet current members, blogs, photo galleries, photo contests, videos, widgets and tickers, and help. The web site also features a search bar at the top right hand side of each web page that enables an easy search of all of the web site’s contents.
