Wetpaint.com is a site that allows anyone to create fan pages and personal sites devoted to specific topics. Wetpaint.com, Inc. was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Seattle, Washington.

The homepage displays a list of featured fans sites along with links to videos, photos, and hot discussions. The homepage also displays a ‘TV Fandex 100’ section with a list of the top 100 TV show fan sites, a ‘Top WetPaint Sites’ section with a list of the top member created sites dealing with a variety of topics, a ‘Featured Fan Photos’ section with photos of popular TV shows and movies and links to the show sites. There is also a ‘Rants and Raves’ section that displays a scrolling list of questions, comments, and stories recently posted on Wetpaint sites.

The bottom of the page features links to the ‘Wetpaint Central’ section, which provides help and technical support to members; a ‘Premium Services’ section with a list of premium services available, such as ad removal and web address customization; and links to partnering with and advertising on the site.

Visitors can become members by creating a site. Members select a site name and URL, a template, and content editing settings, and they can begin adding content to their site. All sites are created in the style of Wikis, which are pages that are compiled by many members. A member’s content editing settings will either allow or prevent other Wetpaint members from editing their sites. Members also have the option of making their sites private.
