Uic.edu is the official website of the University of Illinois at Chicago. The university was first chartered in 1867 as the state’s land-grand school after sometime and changes the new complete campus opened in 1965. The school website features a simple design. The homepage of the website is packed full of useful information. The center portion of the homepage contains news and events relating to the school, its students, its staff, and its activity in the community. The right side of the homepage also displays a feature story on the website that school wants everyone to know about. Also on the homepage users will find a navigation section and quick link sections. The website organizes everything else under two navigation areas. The first navigation area contains sections under the categories of admissions, alumni, academic departments, for faculty, library, medical center, and athletics. The second navigation bar contains sections under the categories of learning, living, working, great cities, computing, visiting, about UC, emergency information, disability resources, find people, A-Z departments, and contact us. The website is a perfect tool for current students, prospective students, parents, alumni, and researchers. It offers tool that will help students stay connected with each and with the processes of their school.
