spoke.com is a business networking site setup with the intent of connecting business people across the world. The site uses what the called “Open Network” to connect people across the Internet “in case the person you are looking for has not signed up for the other sites you have joined.” At the top of the website there are links to Login and Join. The home page has a simple interface with a large “start connecting now” button that navigates you to the site registration page. Registration with the site is straight forward, requiring only name, email address and a password to sign up. On the home page you can search by people, company and jobs; searching on these will lead you to a preliminary listing from which you can purchase additional details. The home page has links to “FAQ”, “Contact Us” and others but not at the bottom of the website where you would normally see them; rather, these links are in the middle of the site above two sections: “What can you get from Spoke?” and “Browse the Open Network for Business People”. Finally, the main section of the home page has a picture of the Spoke Featured Member of the day, along with the company they work for.
