Spaceweather.com is an informational site covering up-to-date space weather, or changing environmental conditions outside Earth’s atmosphere (like meteor showers, solar wind, and supernovas). The front page features all of the weather alerts from today, and you can browse through the archives of previous days’ weather using the tool on the right. The front page also has daily information on solar wind, auroras, solar flares, and sunspots. One of the main features of the site, which you can find under the Aurora Alerts tab, is called Spaceweather Phone. If you input your phone number and email address into the site, you will get simultaneous phone calls and email notifications if there is a major space weather event, especially if there is an aurora or meteor shower visible from your hometown. It costs $4.95 a month for alerts on auroras and solar activity and $6.95 a month for space station, meteor shower, comet, planet, and other alerts. You can also submit your photos of auroras or other bits of space weather, check out solar telescope footage, get listings of special night-sky cameras, and sign up for free space weather email alerts.
