A vertical job posting board that aggregates job postings from job boards, corporation websites, online classifieds and newspapers, Simplyhired attracts almost ten million viewers per month.

Job seekers can either browse jobs by category, location, or industry or they can search the aggregated listing of available jobs by entering a variety of keywords (job title, skill set, company name, etc) and a location by city, state, or zip code. The search engine returns all results for the given parameters, allowing job seekers to click the URL from any given description to see the website page containing the job listing. If the job listing is from an employer or job board with an application page, an “Apply now” button is also included for the job seeker.

Job seekers can also create an account that allows them the additional capabilities of saving searches, reviewing saved jobs, mapping job locations, creating notes about jobs, blocking specific companies from appearing in a search, and creating email alerts based on search criteria. The site also includes a number of feeds and statistical information concerning job markets and salaries.

Employers don’t need to post their job listings on the website, as the website’s search engine is constantly searching the Internet for new postings and updating the database accordingly. However, if an employer feels they have been overlooked, the employer can either provide a link to their company’s website (for companies with over one hundred job listings) or, for smaller companies, provide a feed. The company does not charge job seekers or employers for the service.
