Shutterstock.com is a subscription-based photo website that allows you access to a massive collection of royalty free images, stock photos, and stock photography. You cannot purchase a single image for usage, but the site offers various different subscription types to best fit your needs. You can try one of its twenty-five a day subscriptions, in increments of one month, three months, six months, or one year. Alternatively, shutterstock.com offers on demand subscriptions for either small and medium pictures or all kinds of pictures. The site also offers Lightboxes, in which you can store multiple pictures, then later share them with a friend. The Lightboxes last even after your subscription has expired, so you do not need to worry about losing your pictures. Additionally, you can buy film clips or stock footage by checking out the other half of the website by clicking the Footage tab in the upper right. There you can buy royalty-free footage either by individual clip or by annual subscription. For an annual subscription, you can also choose the quality of the clips and must select a download limit. The Footage section of the site features its own version of Lightboxes called Clipboxes, in which you can store footage to share later.
