Religioustolerance.org promotes religious tolerance and presents informational articles on religions, morality and ethics. These articles are referred to as essays. The site is operated by the Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance and consists of five volunteers. According to information found on the introduction page, this group consists of followers of Agnosticism, Atheism, Christianity, Wicca and Buddhism. The intended audience for this site is the United States and Canada.
The stated objective of this site is to present accurate and unbiased information concerning different belief systems, morality and ethics. A link list is available under the category of ‘About this site’, which includes contact information; external links and links to buy CDs and books. Other link categories include ‘World religions’; ‘Non-theistic’; ‘All about religions’; ‘Spiritual/ethics’; ‘Peace/conflict’; “Hot” topics and ‘Law and news’.
A page translator is found on the home page. Language options include French, German, Japanese, Chinese and more. Users are invited to email comments, submit posts in a forum and submit ‘essays’ to be considered for the visitor’s essay area. Visitors are advised to use the Google search box to search for specific information.
This site is paid for by banner advertisements and multiple pop ups were noted during review. Religioustolerance.org is rated safe by McAfee SiteAdvisor and Norton Safe Web.
