This site provided by Artifice, Inc. offers free hosting for user-submitted public advocacy petitions. Petitions that are "irresponsible or anti-social", or are written anonymously are not accepted. After submission, this service formats the petition for the Internet and for the printing hard copies. This site suggests the best way to promote a petition is to link to the petition page on the site, send emails including the URL and utilize the standard form in person.
The site's database of active petitions is searchable. The home page displays the petition categories of 'Entertainment & Media', 'Environment', 'Religion', 'Technology & Business' and politics & government on International, state, local and U'S. levels. The top 10 most active petitions are listed with the author's name or group, and the intended target of the petition. Visitors may also browse the top 25 petitions.
All petitions hosted on this site require an email address with each signature. Signers may opt to keep their email address confidential at the time of signing. One master copy of each accepted petition is saved.  This site is backed up and archived daily including petition signatures. Duplicate signatures are automatically detected and rejected.
