Makeupalley.com is a social beauty/makeup website with reviews of and discussions about various beauty products. Most of the content on the site can only be accessed if you are a member. The Reviews are member-written, and each product is rated out of five lipsticks. You can search by product or review, or you can browse through the top picks, most reviewed, most popular, best value, newest products, newest reviews, or top reviewers. As the site is a community site, its boards are very active, with the two major sections of Beauty Boards, covering various cosmetics, fitness, and other body things, and Lifestyle Boards, with covering subjects like family, pets, work, and entertainment. The site also has a Swap tab where you can swap beauty products with other site members. In addition to these features, having a membership gets you access to the site’s mail and diary services. You can view various beauty photos by clicking on the photos under the Member Photos heading on the front page, but you can only view the full galleries if you are a member. Lastly, the Links tab has dozens of links for you to donate your beauty products for either people or pets, as well as links to beauty product merchants.
