Job seekers are best to stick with reputable sites such as Monster.com and Workopolis.com. Localjobexplorer.com seems straight-forward enough. Upon loading, it asks the user to enter a keyword and city/state combination. Once that information is given, the website tells the user that there are x-amount of job listings available and asks for registration information. Once the user has entered their information, they are taken to screen after screen of sign-up offers for various companies and websites. Each screen gives the user an opportunity to pass, until the final page is reached. Once there, users are unable to move forward without running an executable file; needless to say, this was the last page I made it to. As far as I can tell, no job opportunities are ever shown to the user after their information is entered – and reputable employers would likely not post their job openings on such a site.
