Jstor.org is a non-profit archive of all sorts of academic journal articles from many disciplines. Its primary objectives are to preserve scholarship and reduce the costs of educational institutions by providing a place to research these journals. The site is for academics and college students, so participating universities that have partnerships with the site allow you to access it through your college account. Jstor.org can be viewed in many different languages, including French, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese, and Italian. You can search directly for whatever item you are looking for through a basic or advanced search, or you can browse through their collection by discipline, title, or publisher. Additionally, you can use their citation locator to find out which other articles happen to cite whatever article you are reading and thereby find other relevant material. Universities, colleges, and other organizations interested in becoming participants can check out the Participate tab to find out how to gain access to jstor.org, and already participating organizations can donate their collections to the site if they choose. If your university or organization is affiliated with jstor.org, you can create a Myjstor profile to keep track of your citations, email them, and send them to bibliography-making programs.
