Hubblesite.org is a science website devoted to things in the universe discovered by the Hubble telescope, the famous satellite telescope that has been up in space for two decades, and related information. The front page has a Hubble-related event calendar and science announcements, as well as links to the site’s major sections, which can also be viewed by clicking on their respective tabs at the top of the page. The Newscenter tab features science, astronomy, and Hubble-related news, as well as a place to enter your email to get updates on new things that the Hubble has discovered. The Gallery tab has all of the pictures that the Hubble has taken of the cosmos, along with a function allowing you to print those pictures, as well as some videos. The Hubble Discovers tab focuses on celestial bodies that the Hubble discovered, with additional information on dark energy. The Hubble Telescope tab describes the telescope itself, the Explore Astronomy tab has articles, quizzes, and podcasts on astronomy in general, the Education & Museums tab has resources for teachers and museums, and the Reference Desk tab has glossaries, FAQs, calculators, and charts. Lastly, The Future: Web Telescope tab provides information on the Webb telescope, the telescope that is set to replace the Hubble in 2014.
