Howcast.com is a video sharing website all about providing how-to videos on various subjects. The subjects of the how-to videos varies widely, from practical things, like paying car loans and picking fluorescent light bulbs, to personal things, like losing weight, improving your karma, and wearing high heels, to seemingly random things like how to play certain games or how to deal with a loud coworker. The Videos & Guides tab lets you browse videos by the Most Recent, Top Rated, or Most Viewed. You can also browse by category, and you can view the categories either at the top of the screen or on the far left of the Videos & Guides page. Some categories include arts and media, crafts and hobbies, games, health and nutrition, sex and relationships, sports and fitness, technology, and travel. You can select the “All” button to look at how-to videos from other sites in addition to those of howcast.com. The top right of all of the pages has the Create a Video or Guide button, which lets you create an account (or use your Facebook account) and create and post up your own how-to video. You can also check out the site’s Emerging Filmmakers Program by clicking on the Filmmakers button just to the left of the orange Create a Video or Guide button.
