Goal.com is a soccer (called football outside of the United States) news website that provides up-to-date information on all things soccer-related, most notably the World Cup when it is going on. The front page has all of the new big news items prominently displayed, as well as a news feed providing links to articles on each story as it comes in. Further down on the front page, there are match results, a tool to check out teams from the various soccer leagues, a link to the site’s Facebook page, photos, news about transfers, polls, and information about each of the site’s writers and their individual work. When the World Cup is going on, the site has a whole tab devoted to it, with a subpage devoted just to the Cup, team and player profiles, information on host cities, and information about matches. At the top of the subpage are the scores of all recent matches, and the scores are also links to more detailed pages about the matches. The site can be viewed in Spanish for all Spanish, Central and South American soccer fans. There is a large forum for you to discuss the World Cup, different leagues, and anything else soccer-related, though it requires that you sign up for a free account.
