Fluther.com is a platform for people to ask any sort of question and get answers from other internet users. The site’s name comes from the term for a group of jellyfish, so appropriately, the site’s icon is a smiling jellyfish with glasses. You can ask a question in one of two areas. In the General section, you must stay strictly on topic and generally avoid jokes unless they relate to the question. In the Social section, questions and answers can be done in more of a discussion format, they can be opinionated, and more humor is allowed. In both sections, you must write in proper English, use punctuation, and make sure everything is spelled correctly. The questions can be on almost any subject, and you can even ask survey-like questions. You need an account to use the site, but an account is entirely free. With an account, you will get sent new questions based on the kinds of questions you have answered and what you list in your profile. You can also track certain people you are interested in (this function is called your fluther, hence the name of the site). Additionally, you can just chat with other members of the Fluther community or check out the site blog with site news and the occasional interview.
