Visitors can sign up to create a family page on the site by clicking the ‘Sign Up’ link at the bottom of the homepage and submitting a written request to be signed up.

The ‘News & Notes’ and ‘Just Thoughts’ sections feature an alphabetical list of user created family pages. The ‘Galleries’ section features a list of member photo albums, as well as a link to their Facebook profile and their FamilyTiez web pages. The ‘Genealogy’ section features a pedigree map that members can use to list and trace their ancestors. The ‘Birthdays’ section features a calendar that displays birthdays listed by all members. Members must be logged in to post a birthday on the calendar.

The ‘Weather’ section features condensed weather reports for twelve different locations around the United States where site members are located. Clicking a report redirects the visitor to weatherforyou.com.

The ‘About us & FAQ’ section provides information about the site, as well as using the site and managing family pages. The ‘Policy’ section provides information about the site’s web policy regarding user submitted content, account creation and deletion, and copyright, as well as a liability and disclaimer statement.
