Dslreports.com is an online community dedicated to consumer broadband information, news, and tools. The site was launched in 1999 and is owned and operated by DSL, Hosting & Co.
The homepage features the latest DSL news and updates on DSL companies. There is also a list of recent end user reviews, a review finder tool, links to the site forums, links to the latest issues and petitions, and a ‘Quick Start Guide’ section with links to the site’s most popular areas.
The ‘Find Service’ section displays links to popular functions, such as a ‘Compare cable, DSL, and satellite plans’ tool, a ‘VOIP tool and quote request’ tool, a ‘Locate Small Independent ISPs’ tool, a ‘Cheapest Broadband’ chart, a ‘Residential DSL by price’ list, and a list of ‘Top Rated ISPs.’
The ‘Reviews’ provides a list sorted by ‘Smooth Ride,’ ‘Mixed Reviews,’ and ‘Unhappy Campers.’ The ‘ISP News’ section displays the latest internet service provider news and updates. Visitors can sort the stories by date, comments, and views. The ‘FAQ’ section provides links to information about broadband technology, provider-specific information, and forum-specific topics.
The ‘Forums’ section provides a list of forums by topic, DSL company, and location. The ‘Tools’ section provides a variety of broadband tools, including speed tests, where visitors can check their maximum upload and download speed; a VOIP bandwidth tester; a line quality tester; and more.
