This site is an English-German and Multilingual Dictionary. The goal of the site is to make it possible to share vocabulary knowledge with the rest of the world. This is the main difference between Dict.cc and other translation services. Each user is encouraged to contribute to the dictionary by adding and verifying translations suggestions. The database can be downloaded and used for free. There is a dropdown for translations. The site has a search bar as well as options, tips, facts, abbr, highlighted word and toolbar.
Then you can view recently verified translations along with times, English to German and checked by. The link to the about/extras, vocal trainer, subjects, users, forum and contribute. There is even a voice feature. There are 777,846 translations and 2, 748 are new and verified. The middle part of the site explains what it does and there is a box, which gives you a word, and then you guess from the answers what it means? The bottom of the page has the title News and History with some dates and what was significant on that day. Under that is English News History and Dutch news. This site is great for those who may studying German in school or just want to learn how to speak the language.
