The Association funds research to prevent cure and manage diabetes; delivers services to hundreds of communities; provides objective and credible information; and gives voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes. Diabetes is a website run by the American Diabetes Association. It covers topics and things like All About Diabetes, Nutrition, Fitness, Lifestyle and Prevention, Diabetes Research, Government Affairs and Advocacy, Community Programs and Local Events, Diabetes in the Work Place, For Parents and Kids, For Health Professionals and Scientists, Support the Cause, and Shop for Books and Gifts. In the body of the home page one will find a Health Care Reform petition which anyone is allowed to sign. They also cover important topics such as “I Think I May Have Diabetes, I Am Recently Diagnosed with Diabetes, I am Living With Diabetes, A Family Member or Friend has Diabetes, I am a Healthcare Professional.” Below the links to the previously mentioned topics there are also links to other things such as the latest diabetes news under In Diabetes Today, the Recipe of The Day, Tip of the Day, a link to donate money to the organization, and Local Events and Information that can be searched for by simply entering your zip code.
