Dailyherald.com is the official website of the Daily Herald, an Illinois newspaper from the Chicago suburbs. The front page offers recent and featured news articles, primarily those from the general Chicago area. There is also a list further down of recent Illinois and Nation/World articles with breaking news videos from the Associated Press just below. On the right is a list of the site’s columns and blogs, as well as links to the site’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages, a site calendar, and a local business directory. The site’s main news sections are News, Opinion, Business, Sports, Entertainment, and Lifestyle. The News tab has subsections for each of the surrounding counties, Chicago, Illinois, and Nation/World, as well as Obituaries, Photos, Politics, and Special Reports. Each of the other sections has its own subpage with recent articles (or in the case of Opinion, blog entries and editorials) and videos. The Customer Service tab lets you subscribe to the print version of the newspaper, solve problems, put your newspaper deliveries on hold for vacation, change your address, or apply to be a newspaper carrier. There is also a Marketplace where you can, among other things, post job listings and look for jobs, buy and sell real estate, cars, other vehicles and other merchandise, and post and browse rentals.
