Cuny.edu is the website of the City University of New York, an educational institution network founded in 1847 in New York City. This educational network is comprised of 23 universities and colleges, and is the largest urban public university in the United States.
The homepage features the latest news and updates, as well as financial reports, information about new institutions recently added to Cuny, a link to the CunyRadio podcasts, and a list of upcoming events.
Visitors can browse each college in the network by clicking the ‘College Websites’ drop down menu, and they can learn more about the programs offered at the schools by clicking the links on the left hand side navigation menu. This menu also has links to school events, school offices, and career opportunities at the school.
The ‘Apply to Cuny’ section provides links to the schools in the network, as well as links to application guides and worksheets, and a link to the online application page. The ‘Current Students’ section displays links to common tasks within a variety of categories, such as financial aid and registration information. Register students can log in to the site to register for classes, view transcripts, and more, by clicking the ‘Portal Log in’ link on the left hand side. The ‘Faculty and Staff’ section displays a list of academic calendars, professional development programs, personnel policies and procedures, and more. The ‘Alumni & giving’ section displays the latest funding news and announcements, as well as information about supporting the educational network.
