Crackle.com is a video entertainment network created by Sony Pictures Entertainment Company that features original web shows and free content from the Sony Picture TV series and movie library.

The homepage displays movie and TV trailers, and links to popular shows on the site, such as original “minisodes” and celebrity interviews. The bottom of the page features links to popular shows and categorized video areas, such as Movie Trailers, Funny Clips, and more. Visitors can also subscribe to the site’s Insider Newsletter to receive show and movie updates, and register with the site to create a profile, post comments, create playlists, and subscribe to channels. Registration is free and lets members upload their own videos, allowing them to create their own web TV channels as well. The site periodically features themed contests that allow unknown filmmakers to gain exposure. The ‘Contests’ section is available at the bottom of each member’s profile page.

The ‘Originals’ section features video clips of original Crackle web and TV shows and can be browsed by category, date added, or name.

The ‘Movies’ section features full length movies in several genres from action to comedy to sci-fi, and can be browsed by category, date added, or film title.

The ‘Television’ section features condensed episodes, or minisodes, of popular shows on TV and on the site that feature well known actors and celebrities.
