Change.gov is the official website of the Office of the President-elect, a site sanctioned by the Presidential Transition Act of 1963, as amended (3 USC 102 note), to provide support to the Office of the President-elect during the transfer of executive power after a general election. The site provides news, events, and announcements to the public as the incoming president sets up his administration. Once the transition is complete, the homepage features a link to whitehouse.gov, where the public can view a wealth of information related to American government.

The site features links to the latest presidential address, as well as links to the latest blog entries, press releases, events, administration biographies, and administration agenda. The homepage also features links to a ‘Citizens Briefing Book’ section, where members of the public can submit ideas and comments for review by the president; a ‘Join the Discussion’ section where members of the public can respond to questions posted by the transition team; a ‘Your Seat at the Table’ section, where visitors can track presidential and vice-presidential meetings and documents, as well as leave comments for the administration; and a ‘Open for Questions’ section where the incoming White House Press Secretary responds to user submitted questions.

The ‘Learn’ section provides information about the administration and ‘Agenda’ section provides information about the administrations agenda for several major issues. The ‘An American Moment’ section lets visitors share their experience and ideas about bettering the United States. The ‘America Serves’ section provides information on the administration efforts at getting the American Public more involved in serving their communities, as well as a sign up form for those interested in becoming volunteers in a variety of programs. The ‘Jobs’ section provides information about job opportunities at Change.gov.
