Cgsociety.org is the official website of the CG (computer graphics) Society, a highly respected organization for digital artists. The website provides both a place to find information on and hear the latest news about the digital art community and to actively participate in said community through the forums, by putting your work up on the site, by discussing your work and the work of others, and by going to CG-sponsored events. Since video games are made up entirely of digital art, a large portion of the site’s coverage is on video game graphics. The front page features most of the major recent industry news articles and interviews, as well as high-rated art recently posted on the site, new tutorials, and other recent items. The site store features digital art software, books, DVDs, and other materials to help create digital art, most notably DVDs with reference shots by models. The site has a link to the CG wiki, called CGWiki, with all sorts of information about digital art, digital art companies, tutorials, and chapters of the CG Society. You can participate in workshops with digital art professionals by signing up for courses in the Workshops tab, and you can look through digital art-related job listings in the Jobs tab.
