Brainpop.com is an educational website for children usually in the elementary or middle school stages of their education. Upon entering the site, the user, usually a child can log in with their designated information and or they could just utilize the search bar on the site to assist them with their searches. The site is in English as it is American, but there is also an option to view the website in Spanish. The site is intended to help certain students with their respective subjects in school. Such subjects that can be found on this site are math, science, social studies, English, arts & music, and health. However, not all features on the site are free. Certain subjects that are free on the site will be marked as “free”. Such topics are slavery and spotlight: digital citizenship. Also free is “state standards”. In this section, one can view the state standards for each state and see what is required for certain students to pass depending on their location.
