Bncollege.com is a subsite of Barnes & Noble specifically geared towards selling textbooks to college bookstores. The site provides information and resources for colleges/universities interested in purchasing books and in getting bookstore management education and assistance from Barnes & Noble. The front page has news and information on Barnes & Noble’s new eReader, NOOKstudy, complete with an introductory video. The About Us tab explains the basic services and products the site provides, as well as its mission, history, news and events, and environmental efforts. You can browse through a list of colleges/universities partnered with the site in the College Partners tab, plus check out upcoming events and see the newest partnered colleges/universities. The Resources tab includes information on Registration Integration, or how colleges/universities can include bookstore urls on course schedules and on registration sites to satisfy certain textbook provisions, the site FAQ, and old newsletters and performance reviews. The Reaching Students section has tips for promoting bookstores, like outreach campaigns and online marketing, and the Careers section is about getting a job with Barnes & Noble of any kind, not just related to bncollege.com’s work. At the top of the page are three links for administrators, faculty, and parents and students with details on how Barnes & Noble’s college textbook/bookstore services benefit them.
