Blogger.com is a site that provides free blog hosting to anyone who signs up for an account. This service is simple and easy to use, and it allows any person or business to quickly create a visually appealing blog in which they can share their thoughts and expertise with the world.

After a quick sign up process, which also creates a Google account, the user is directed to a series of blog customization pages where they can name, choose an URL, and choose a design layout for their blog. They can also import an existing blog or host their blog in a different location such as on a separate website.

Once the preliminary customization is complete, the user is ready to begin posting to their blog and can include pictures, videos and custom html into their posts. The design and layout can be further customized by accessing the ‘Settings’ and ‘Layout’ tabs or by accessing the dashboard from the top of the screen. Through the layout tab, the user can add various elements (or gadgets) to their pages such as polls and link lists, and they can generate revenue by placing Adsense ads on their blogs from within the layout page as well; this is subject to approval by the Google Adsense program.
