A surprisingly low-tech-looking Associated Press site that concentrates on content quality. The Pulitzer Prize-winning AP (with a total of 49, 30 of which were in the category for photographs) was founded in 1846, and like other respected news agencies (Reuters, for example) helped set the standards for news reporting globally. With 243 bureaus in 97 countries, their website gives access to true global news perspectives. AP Images states that it is the world’s largest repository of news photos, both current and historical, which are available for purchase.
