Ant.com is an internet search engine that is run by a group of webmasters and programmers from the United States of America and France, rather than by big companies like Google or Yahoo. The search function can be found on the main page, and when you search, you not only get links but little preview pictures of the sites, plus related advertisements on the right. The Ant Guide takes you to a list of websites, organized by category and by popularity, for easy browsing. The Video Sites tab has links to various popular video-hosting websites, and you can download the videos from those sites by using Ant.com’s video downloader. You can find said downloader either by clicking on the link just above all of the video-hosting site links or by clicking on the corresponding tab. The Traffic Ratings tab ranks all of the websites on the internet by the amount of traffic they receive, and the Surf Safe tab provides free programs for getting rid of malware. You can find out about Ant.com itself by clicking on the About Us tab on the main page, and you can set it as your internet browser’s default search engine by clicking on the “Set as search engine” button on the upper right of the screen (but not on the main page).
